FAQ

Questions clients ask first.

Honest answers about fees, scheduling, and how we work.

Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. We meet with you in person, by phone, or by video at no charge. We will tell you candidly whether we believe we can help.
Do you take cases on contingency?
Personal injury, wrongful death, and Social Security Disability matters are handled on a contingency basis. Family law, estate planning, and criminal defense are typically flat-fee or hourly with a written engagement letter.
What if I cannot come to your office?
We meet clients by video and, when needed, at hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or homes. Tell us what works.
How quickly can I be seen?
Most new matters are scheduled within 48 hours. Urgent matters — protective orders, arraignments, deadlines — are handled the same day.
Who will actually work on my case?
M. Paul Fischer personally meets with every new client. Our associates support him under his direct supervision.
Do you handle matters outside Maricopa County?
On a case-by-case basis. Long-standing clients have been represented in Pinal, Yavapai, and Pima counties as well.
How do you bill?
Every engagement begins with a written letter that spells out the scope of work, the fee, and the manner of billing. There are no surprises.
What languages does the firm speak?
English and Spanish; additional language support is available through certified interpreters for hearings.
