About the Firm
Since 1985, the same standard. The same quiet style.
A small firm by design, built on the belief that thorough preparation, restrained advocacy, and direct communication produce the best outcomes for clients.
M. Paul Fischer opened the firm's doors on Court Street in downtown Mesa in 1985 with a simple commitment: that every client would meet with him personally, that every file would be prepared as if it were going to trial, and that the firm would never grow beyond a size at which he could vouch for the quality of every matter that left the office.
Four decades later, those commitments still define the practice. We remain a small firm — a handful of attorneys and a tight support staff — handling family law, personal injury, criminal defense, Social Security Disability, and estate planning matters for clients throughout Mesa, Phoenix, Gilbert, Chandler, and Tempe.
The cases that come through our door range from the largest — high-asset divorces, seven-figure injury claims, complex probate — to the most personal — a parenting plan modification, a will, a first DUI. We treat each with the same preparation.
Our Principles
Four standards we will not compromise.
Preparation over performance
Cases are won in the file long before they are won in the courtroom. Our preparation reflects that.
Candor with clients
We will tell you what we believe, even when it is uncomfortable. That is what we are paid for.
Discretion as a practice
What you share with us stays in our office. Our clients are referred by other clients precisely because of how quietly we work.
Availability without theatrics
We do not chase work. The clients who hire us tend to call us next time, and the time after that.
